A Gathering of Governors 2027 is a televised event bringing together six Nevada governors for a rare and historic conversation. Reviving PBS Reno’s 1993 A Gathering of Governors 2027, program, this special will feature UNR President and former Governor Brian Sandoval and Governors Joe Lombardo, Richard Bryan, Bob Miller, Steve Sisolak, and Robert List as they reflect on their time in office, discuss pivotal decisions, share perspectives on today’s most pressing issues, and consider Nevada’s future. The program will be recorded before a live audience at UNR’s Nightingale Hall, on April 27, 2027.

Moderated by veteran political reporter and host Mitch Fox and produced by PBS Reno, this one-hour special will provide viewers with a unique opportunity to hear directly from leaders who have shaped Nevada over the past several decades. 

More than a discussion, A Gathering of Governors 2027 will serve as an important historical record for future generations. Since the original program aired more than 30 years ago, three former Nevada governors have passed away, underscoring the importance of preserving these conversations while the state’s leaders can share their experiences and insights firsthand. As public discourse becomes increasingly fragmented, this program exemplifies PBS Reno’s commitment to providing trusted, educational, and nonpartisan programming that foster understanding, civic engagement, and informed dialogue.
